I'm leaving Jefferson -- how can I keep my RefWorks (Legacy, New) and Sciwheel citations?

Answer

Legacy RefWorks and New RefWorks:

If you are graduating, you'll be happy to learn that alumni are eligible for continued RefWorks access, as long as Jefferson subscribes to the service. To ensure your account remains activated, update your user status to "Alumni." If you are using Legacy Refworks: from Update Profile (top right), choose Type of User, and Alumni. If you are using New RefWorks: in your Account Settings, choose Role, and Alumni.

If you are going to another organization that subscribes to RefWorks, email RefWorks technical support to request an account transfer.

If you would like to buy an individual subscription to RefWorks (for an annual fee), contact RefWorks technical support and request a transfer of your records onto your new, individual account.

Sciwheel:

If you move to an organization that doesn't have Sciwheel, you can purchase an individual subscription for $9.95/month. If you prefer not to buy a subscription, you can still access and work on your old projects, but you won't be able to create new ones. Contact Sciweel customer support for more information.

You can export references to other citation managers (e.g., EndNote) by selecting the compatible format.
