How do I get a library card?

Answer

If you are a current Jefferson student, staff, or faculty member, then your Jefferson ID card functions as your library card. If you are an alum, you will need an alumni card to access the libraries. At this time, the libraries are not open to the public.

Paul J Gutman Library (East Falls):

If you are an alum of the East Falls campus (Philadelphia University), request an alumni identification card from the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@jefferson.edu or (215) 951-2710. Alumni access to the Gutman Library is limited to Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Learn more about alumni access and privileges.

Scott Memorial Library (Center City):
If you are an alum of the Center City campus, contact Jefferson's Alumni Office by email at alumni@jefferson.edu or sign in to your alumni community and click on "Alumni Benefits." For assistance, please contact:

  • JMC Alumni Association: 215-955-7751
  • JGSBS, JSHP, JSN, JSP, and JSPH Alumni Associations: 215-955-6929
  • Center City Alumni Office: 215-955-7750

Once you receive an alumni card, you can use the library during regularly scheduled hours. Read more about alumni access and privileges.
